Political Science Speaker Series: Restoring the Idea of the University

Date & Time:
March 22, 2017 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm
Social Sciences Tower Room 729

Tim Fuller joined the Colorado College political science department in 1965. He is a leading international authority and has published extensively on Hobbes, Mill, Anglo-American constitutional theory, public policy, contemporary political philosophy, and especially on Michael Oakeshott, the most important English political philosopher of the 20th century. As professor, department chairman, dean and acting president, he helped Colorado College redefine itself as one of the finest liberal arts colleges in the U.S. He also helped design the curriculum of Quest University at Squamish, B.C. He has mentored generations of students, including two members of this department. A colleague who teaches down I-25 at the Air Force Academy, Paul Carrese, called him “the voice of liberal learning for our time.”

All welcome.
