Masters in Environmental Design

Building on the groundbreaking launch of Canada’s first interdisciplinary design based Faculty in 1971, we are pleased to announce the introduction of our new advanced graduate and post professional interdisciplinary degree in Environmental Design. This degree replaces our current programs in Urban Design, Environmental Science, Planning and Industrial Design. The built, natural and social environments are becoming increasingly intertwined, interdependent and indeterminate and they require a new breed of professional to effectively design and manage change. Our new degree is intended for those wishing to meet this challenge by expanding their current professional or design related degree backgrounds and career experience with advanced interdisciplinary practice-based research and study in one or more of the following thematic areas of study: ecological design, urban systems design, technological systems design, human and cultural systems design.

Applications for the Fall 2009 class of the Master of Environmental Design degree will be accepted  from December 1, 2008 until February 1, 2009.
