Welcome to the DELF / DALF Examination Centre at the French Centre


What is the DELF?

It is an official diploma awarded by France’s Ministry of Education. It is valid for life and recognized around the world.

What do DELF and DALF stand for?

  • DELF = Diplôme d’études en langue française (Beginner and intermediate levels)
  • DALF = Diplôme approfondi de langue française (Advanced level)

Why take the DELF?

  • to measure and certify your French skills on an international scale
  • to enrol in a French speaking university (Level B2 required)
  • to work in a francophone region
  • to enhance your resume and your professional mobility

What is assessed?

4 language competencies are evaluated with a total possible score of 100 marks.

  • Listening comprehension
  • Reading comprehension
  • Writing skills
  • Oral presentation and interaction

25 marks per section. You only need a total of 50/100 to receive certificate!
