Department of Clinical Neurosciences
Our mandate is foremost to inform clinicians and researchers in the DCNS about available institutions and resources to optimize performance in all fields of clinical research related to Clinical Neurosciences.
Secondly, we seek to provide mentorship and training to young professors and offer help in the form of internal peer grant reviews.
In addition, we will give updates on news and ongoing projects. We are also responsible for the PFUN (pilot fund) program being run conjunctly by DCNS, HBI and the Mathison Centre for Mental Health Research & Education, and we collaborate very closely with the Neuro and Mental Health Research Clinic Initiative.
Below you will find a comprehensive list of available resources in the DCNS, HBI, Cumming School of Medicine and at the University of Calgary.
Please review the mentorship coordination contacts (for HBI members: Dr. Tom Feasby, for non-HBI members: Dr. Oury Monchi) and the links to internal funding opportunities as well as pilot grants.
If you are planning to submit a grant proposal, please contact Oury Monchi by emailing Cari Jarhaus at the HBI with a preliminary research title and the program you are submitting to and you will be strongly encouraged to get involved in the faculty internal peer review process.
For any concerns and requests, please contact Oury Monchi directly.
The members of the Clinical Research Committee are looking forward to working with you!
