Important Dates

January 26 - Last day to add or swap Winter Term half courses.
January 30 - Fee payment deadline for Winter Term fees.
February 1 - Change of Program deadline.
February 15-22 - Reading Week. No lectures. University open (except Family Day).

Program Change

Course registration just a few short months away. March 16 - 31!

Don’t get caught off-guard by course registration! In the not-too-distant future, continuing students will begin registering for the Fall 2015 and Winter 2016 terms. March can be a busy month for students. Our advice: prepare early by pre-selecting your course, identify alternate choices and meet with an advisor should you have any questions about planning your 2015/2016 schedule.

If you were considering changing your program, make sure you login through myUofC ( and submit your request in your Student Centre by Feb. 1. For more information about changing your program, visit, or contact your faculty’s program advising office.

Your chance to rant or rave!

We are looking for information from you as a current student about what your experience is like on the University of Calgary website. Tell us what you love (and what you don’t love) and we’ll randomly select a winner for a $50 gift card to the bookstore just for taking 2-3 minutes to fill out our online survey.


Undergraduate Viewbook 2015

Be in the next undergraduate viewbook!

The University of Calgary is currently looking for students to take part in photo shoots over the next couple of months for our upcoming undergraduate viewbook. If you're interested in participating and sharing your university pictures in photographs, please complete our online form by Wednesday, Jan. 28 and we'll be in touch with more information.


International Photo Contest

The International Photo Contest is back!

Grab your camera, select your best internationally-focused, original pics and submit them to the Centre for International Students and Study Abroad (CISSA) by February 2. The contest is open to all current University of Calgary students.


Pure Award

The Program for Undergraduate Research Experience (PURE) is now taking applications!

PURE awards provide financial support to University of Calgary undergraduates to conduct research for 8, 12 or 16 weeks between May and August. Applications for summer 2015 are due Feb. 6.


Champions for a Health Campus

How would you spend $5,000 to help create a healthier campus?

Champions for a Healthy Campus: Do you have an idea to create positive change on campus? The SU Wellness Centre is inviting students to work in teams to propose projects that will contribute to a healthier campus community. Teams have a chance to win five prizes of $5000 to implement their ideas on campus.
