The Hunting Ground

The Hunting Ground: Film Screening & Discussion

As part of the Sexual Assault Prevention Project: Creating a Culture of Consent, the Women's Resource Centre will be hosting a screening of The Hunting Ground, a US documentary that exposes the epidemic of sexual assault on campuses. Following the screening, we will have a panel discussion focusing on what we can learn from this documentary, and how we can apply that learning to the University of Calgary campus.

When: Wednesday, Nov. 25, 5:30 pm

Have you ever been in a situation where someone approached you with a problem or crisis and you were wondering what you should do next? On November 27, the SU Wellness Centre will host a condensed training session where participants will learn a six step tool that can be used to help others who are experiencing a problem or are in distress. This session will also cover Suicide Awareness and Intervention.

Academic Integrity Bags

Clear Bag Project: Protecting your valuables while curbing cheating

Students writing exams in the Red, Gold, or Auxiliary Gymnasiums as well as some classrooms will be provided with a large clear plastic bag for their personal valuables. The 13.5" by 18.5" plastic bag is meant for small items of value; a wallet, phone, tablet, or laptop, but could easily fit a textbook. All electronics will be required to be fully shut down. Please note: Items that can’t fit in the integrity bags are not permitted in the exam room, although coats may be hung on the back of chairs.

Did you know...Students may view USRI results when they are conducting course searches in their Student Centre. Course instructors use USRI results to enhance their courses, and departments use results to assess instructor performance. Course evaluations for Fall 2015 can be completed from November 16 - December 8. Learn more
