Wellness is the integration of mind, body, and spirit to create a greater quality of life. Overall, wellness is the ability to live life to the fullest and to maximize personal potential.

Take time to explore your wellness today! Take just one or all of these FREE 90 minute workshops. You are encouraged to register as space is limited.  Sign up with Counselling Services reception (403-210-9355). Insufficient registration may result in workshops being cancelled.  Drop-in participants will be  accommodated if space is available.

SLEEP AND THE UNIVERSITY STUDENT: CAN THEY CO-EXIST? 

Sleep is an integral part of a healthy lifestyle.  However, for many students, sleep is the first thing to go when the life gets busy and stressful.  This workshop will provide a comprehensive look at sleep addressing key themes that include why we sleep, what controls our sleep, what we do to screw up sleep and how to get it back on track and what to do when life gets in the way of sleep.  This workshop is designed to help students sleep better at night so they don't have to nap during class.

EMOTIONAL CONNECTION IN INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS

Falling in love can be easy; staying in love is harder.  How are some couples able to be relationship masters as opposed to relationship disasters?  This workshop looks at the key factors for creating and maintaining the emotional connection that helps to keep relationships healthy and happy.   While the workshop's focus is on intimate relationships, the skills introduced can be utilized in a variety of relationships including family, friends and work colleagues.
