Career/Life Planning Workshops

Designing Your Life ... Discovering Your Career Path

This four-part interactive workshop assists students to look at the various elements important in designing your future life and career by looking at the "big picture" of your life - who you are and what you want in the future.

Part I: Exploring You: through career stories and character strengths;

Part II: Perspectives on Career Decision-Making: explore traditional and newer perspectives - how it is important to understand these and what they mean for how we understand our own career and personal development;

Part III: Intrapersonal and Interpersonal Wellness:  focus on stress management through the process of making important career and life decisions, and enhancing our ability to connect with others who are influential in our career/life path;

Part IV: Goal Setting, Accessing Resources, Transitions: how to set appropriate goals as you move forward in your journey; how to access various resources, both written information and through talking to people in the know; and how to take important steps as you transition from post-secondary studies into other primary life roles.
