Health Technology Assessment and Appraisal Unit

Arising out of a general need but specifically a demonstrated interest by Alberta Health and Wellness, CHAPS has developed a modest Health Technology Assessment and Appraisal Unit. Together with other provincial work, this Unit is responsive to an agenda set by the Alberta Health Technology Decision Process. Accordingly, the Unit is responsible for conducting several assessments each year as prioritized and directed by the process. With this as a basis, a multi-year, multi-faceted proposal is being developed for a unit with
the express interest of building capacity to carry out health technology assessment and appraisal in the Province.
