On June 24, 2011 at 10:00am Lauren Birks successfully defended her PhD Thesis titled "Participatory Knowledge Mobilization: A Gender Analysis Characterizing the Understandings of Mother-to-Child HIV Transmission in Maasai Women and Outreach Healthcare Workers in Rural Tanzania". Her supervisor is Dr. Jennifer Hatfield.
