Research

Cryosphere Climate Research Group concentrates on  two research areas i.e. Glaciology and Sea Ice. Within these two research areas, the group investigates on various research topics. Research in Glaciology span around a broad range of questions pertaining to climatology, cryosphere-climate interactions, modelling of glacial movement etc. Sea Ice group focuses on investigating the dynamics and thermodynamics of sea ice through heavily equiped and extensive field expeditions. Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is yet another area where the group specializes.

Most of the work carried out by the group is fully funded by various research organizations and University of Calgary. Some of the current research projects are:
