The Centre for Community-Engaged Learning (CCEL) supports the University’s goal of increasing student engagement and fostering student success by offering service-learning programs through both curricular service-learning (for academic credit) and co-curricular service-learning programs (non-credit programs). The CCEL works closely with partners in the non-profit and voluntary sector and faculty members to provide students with enriching educational experiences that prepare them to contribute to the world around them.
This website, designed by U of C students in Communication Studies 463 and 501 in collaboration with staff from the CCEL, contains information for students, community and campus partners and faculty members.
Students will find information about service-learning courses and co-curricular programs such as our Reading Week Series and other Calgary Serves programs.
Local organizations will find information about how we work with the non-profit and voluntary sector, how to get involved, and information about past projects.
Faculty will find information about their colleagues who are offering innovative courses using service-learning, as well as information about course design, research and publishing in this field.
Stay in the Loop!
