Energize. Fuel Change. Celebrate 50!

Energize the next generation. Honour the past and invest in the future of the University of Calgary, its students, research outcomes and the campus community by creating or supporting a special 50th anniversary fund.

Scholarships and Bursaries

Our goal: 50 new awards

Scholarships attract top students to the University of Calgary, and bursaries lift the financial burden for those who need support. Scholarships and bursaries provide a competitive edge and financial relief for students at the graduate and undergraduate level.

Impact Funds

Our goal: $50,000 in new impact funds in each faculty

Through discovery, creativity and innovation, our scholars promote prosperity and improve the quality of life. To make an impact, flexible funds are needed to allow faculties and departments to invest in priority research initiatives. These funds can support summer student undergraduate research internships, ongoing faculty research initiatives or other priorities.

Campus-Wide Wellness Initiatives

Our goal: 50 new donors

Demands on students at all levels are growing considerably. The University of Calgary aims to be a leader in promoting a healthy campus community. UCalgaryStrong, UFlourish Week and ucalgarycares are but three programs that make up part of that strategy. Supportive donors have enabled this effort and we welcome more donors to join us to make UCalgary a welcoming and supportive environment for our entire community.

Campus Beautification and Enhancement

As part of our 50th anniversary celebrations, a comprehensive program is being developed to enhance our campus spaces. Philanthropic support for these initiatives, both large and small, is welcomed and encouraged. Opportunities exist to advance the university toward its vision of "a spirited and high-quality learning environment" and to commemorate and honour special people and campus experiences. Further information will be shared when available.

When I started this, I had no idea the impact the bursaries would have.
