Edmonton Alumni Idea Exchange | April 10, 2017
Our public health care system has long been part of Canada’s identity and a source of pride.
But it’s no secret that our system has fallen behind many others in the areas of quality and innovation, which begs the question: Why is it so difficult to reform health care in Canada?
Join us in Edmonton for an Idea Exchange that will explore how best to improve the Canada Health Act — or if we should recall the act and start again.
UCalgary President Elizabeth Cannon will host influential public policy researcher Dr. Pierre-Gerlier Forest, PhD, the James S. and Barbara A. Palmer Chair at the School of Public Policy at UCalgary, in this conversation about the ongoing struggles to reform the Canadian health care system, despite repeated calls for change from patients, providers and experts.

Where: The Matrix Hotel – Amber Ballroom, 10640 100 Ave.
Time: 5 to 7:30 p.m.
