2012 Distinguished Alumni Award

Vern Kimball has been called a “top difference maker” and one of “Alberta’s 50 Most Influential.” As CEO of the Calgary Stampede, he’s leading the venerable Calgary non-profit through its 100th anniversary in 2012. Kimball's personal foundation of western values and an unshakable passion for his city have led the Stampede through re-branding, re-development and re-invention to ensure that it remains a vibrant contributor to Calgary’s image on the world’s stage. He also devotes his time and energy to the Rotary Club of Calgary and the Calgary Philharmonic Society.

We're proud to honour Vern as our 2012 Distinguished Alumnus.
