The Crowchild Classic

Women’s Hockey, 5:00pm  | Men’s Hockey, 7:45pm

The ultimate crosstown smackdown, the Crowchild Classic came to be in 2012 to mark the first year of CIS sports competition between Mount Royal University and the University of Calgary. Don't miss the Cougars and the Dinos battle it out for city supremacy...and the coveted 'Medal', a 68-kg cast-iron City of Calgary manhole cover.

Calgary and Beyond: Sustainability in the Next 20 Years
October 2016 – March 2017

This speaker series serves as a catalyst for finding sustainable and scalable solutions to complex social, ecological and economic challenges of local and regional importance. Each event features a panel of speakers who will explore the barriers to and opportunities for shifting perspectives and moving towards a more sustainable future. The themes covered in the events focus on energy, water, food, and health and the interconnectedness of the topics. More…

Design Matters
September 2016 – April 2017

Design Matters is a thought provoking lecture series, presented by the Faculty of Environmental Design, that brings to Calgary a range of important speakers who will explore design in our contemporary culture.  Lectures are delivered from September to April, and feature provocative speakers who examine issues in architecture, planning, environmental design, and landscape ecology.
