Education
- B.Sc.(with Distinction), Chemical Engineering, Process Design of Oil and Gas Industries ( University of Esfahan, Esfahan, Iran) 2004
- M.Sc., Chemical Engineering (Modeling, Simulation and Control), ( Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran ) 2007
- PhD, ( University of Calgary), Canada, PhD. in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering (2011-present)
Past Proffessional Experiences
- 2004-2008 Working as a process Engineer for Scetiran Company, Gas & Petrochemical Industry
- 2008-2010 Working as a R&D Expert Engineer for Isfahan Oil Refining Company.CO2 capture with solid sorbents
My current field of study at the University of Calgary is Hydrogen Production from Steam Catalytic Gasification of Coal Integrated with CO2 Capture. Experiments are carried out in a fixed bed reactor. For the modeling part, I am using Aspen Plus process simulator for simulating this process. This project is financially supported by Carbon Management Canada (CMC) via NCE (Network of Centers of Excellence) and NSERC. I have five years of combined experience as a process engineer in a consulting engineers firm and a crude oil refining company, which made me a capacity in the field. During my M.Sc. Degree, I completed a research, titled "Steady State and Dynamic Modeling & Simulation of Modified Claus Process for Sulfur Recovery" under supervision of Dr. Pishvaie (Pishvaie@sharif.ir). The Objective was to provide a software package for simulation of catalytic fixed-bed converters in the powerful environments of Aspen Plus, Matlab and especially Simulink.
